Karine Payette — L’ombre d’un doute

Karine Payette was born in Montréal, where she lives and works. She holds a Master’s degree in visual and media arts from UQAM. Since 2010, her works have been presented in solo exhibitions, notably Confort instable, at the Galerie de l’UQAM (Montréal, QC); L’autre dimanche matin, at Le lieu, Centre en art actuel (Québec City);
Le dernier intervalle, at the Maison de la culture du Plateau-Mont-Royal (Montréal); and Capture, at Art Mûr Leipzig (Germany). She has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including the International Symposium of Contemporary Art of Baie-Saint-Paul (QC), at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, at Centre Bang (Chicoutimi, QC) and at Château de Goulaine, (Nantes, France). In 2017, she will be exhibiting at the Manif d’art 8, in Québec City, at CIRCA art actuel, in Montréal, and, in 2018, at the Maison des arts de Laval (QC).
