Thérèse Chabot was born in 1945 in Saint-Jean-Baptiste, where she lives and works. Beside her work, after studying ceramics in Montreal, in Alberta and after a master at the Louisiana State University, she began teaching at Concordia University in 1983
until 2009. Since then, her installation and performance works have been shown in Canada, United States, Mexico, France, Italy, Scotland and Germany. Her solo exhibitions include La reina de nada au Centro Nacional de las Artes (2004, Mexico) and Hiver rouge (2006, FOFA, Montreal). She has done artist residencies in Mexico (2004), France (1996), Italy (1984) and Quebec (1998, 2000).
