This booklet was published by EXPRESSION, Centre d’exposition de Saint-Hyacinthe, for the exhibition Diane Obomsawin. Les mondes, curated by Katrie Chagnon and presented at EXPRESSION from November 5 to December 23, 2011.

Simon Bilodeau was born in Laval in 1981 and lives and works in Montreal. In 2007 he completed a bachelor’s degree in visual and media art at UQAM, where he is currently working on his master’s degree. His paintings and installations have been included in various contemporary art events, including the 25th Symposium international d’art contemporain de Baie-Saint-Paul, and in group shows at venues such as the Maison de la culture Frontenac and the Joyce Yahouda gallery. In 2012 his work will be shown at the Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke as part of the exhibition Insertion, Contamination, Dispersion. The installation at EXPRESSION is part of a large-scale project whose first phase was shown at the Maison des arts de Laval in 2011; it is Simon Bilodeau’s fifth solo exhibition. He is represented by the Art Mûr gallery in Montreal. www.simonbilodeau.com
